Rules at a Glance

St. Joe Beach

Please familiarize yourself with these rules and regulations. Violation of these rules could result in arrest, fines, termination of your rental contract with no refund.

Minimum Age: Driver must be at least 16 with a valid driver’s license.
Where You Can Drive: Golf carts can operate on most city and county roads with a speed limit of 35 mph or less.
When You Can Drive: Daylight hours – Sunrise to sunset – unless equipped with our standard lighting package.
No-Go Zones: Golf carts are not allowed on state highways (US-98, SR-71, SR-30E) except at designated crossing points (Reid Ave for SR-71 and 1st St for US-98). They are also forbidden on sidewalks and the Loggerhead Run Bike Path. Within St. Joe State Park, golf carts are permitted only in designated areas, but not on the sand. Golf carts are not permitted on certain avenues in Port St. Joe (Garrison Ave, Long Ave, and Ave A) except for crossing or for a maximum of two blocks to reach a side street.
Laws Apply: Same rules as cars (no drinking & driving, use signals, obey stop signs)

Use Reid Avenue to cross SR-71, and 1st Street to cross US-98.
