Rules at a Glance
St. Joe Beach
Minimum Age: 21 with a valid driver’s license.
Where You Can Drive: Explore miles of back roads, restaurants, beach access points, Beacon Hill Park, convenient stores, and residential neighborhoods within our designated driving area.
No-Go Zones: Must stay within our designated driving area. Beach driving is prohibited, may not cross or drive on Hwy 98. Other than small stretch mentioned below, stay off sidewalks and bicycle paths.
Pro tips:
Legally Access Shipwreck Raw Bar using back roads, use the multiuse path along 98 between Beacon Hill Park (Lightkeepers Drive to Sea Shores Drive) for continuous access from the east of Beacon Hill Park to the west, also allowing access to Dollar General and Shipwreck Raw Bar among other things.
To legally access beach using your golf cart, you may drive up to the stop signs adjacent to Hwy 98, park along the side road shoulders, and then walk across Hwy 98.
If your vacation rental is on the beach, you will not be able to use a golf cart rental. If your vacation rental fronts Hwy 98, confirm you have direct access to a side street, otherwise you will not be able to use a golf cart rental.
Driving Hours: No restrictions with our headlight equipped golf carts – otherwise sunrise to sunset.
Laws Apply: Same rules as cars (headlights on at night, no drinking & driving, use signals, obey stop signs)

St. Joe Beach
We deliver your golf cart directly to the address you specify during the online Reservation process. To any address within our designated driving areas! Delivery is guaranteed by 4 PM on the day of your scheduled check-in. Pickup is no later than 9 AM on the day of your scheduled check-out. You are not required to be present for delivery or pickup. If our delivery/pickup schedule does not work for your party, just give us a call and we can work to make other arrangements.
No, Beach Driving in St. Joe Beach is prohibited.
Not directly, but to legally access beach using your Golf Cart, you may drive up to the stop signs adjacent to Hwy 98, park along the side road shoulders, and then walk across Hwy 98.
No, while we deliver to those areas, you cannot drive the golf cart out of the designated driving area for St. Joe Beach as indicated on the map, including driving to Mexico Beach, Windmark Beach or Port St. Joe. Not only would this violate our rules it would require breaking the law by driving on prohibited highways and roads.
