Rules at a Glance

St. George Island

Minimum Age: 21 with a valid driver’s license.

Where You Can Drive: See map for designated driving area. Explore island streets, shops, restaurants and scenic routes between East 11th Street and West 12th Street. Also allowed in the State Park for those camping or wanting to explore the park for the day!

No-Go Zones: May not drive on Gulf Beach Drive (but may cross anywhere) or Franklin Blvd (But may cross at Pine Street). Unless you are accompanied by an owner, golfcarts are not allowed in the Plantation. May not Drive on Beach, sidewalks, recreational paths. If renting in the State Park, it must stay and must not leave the Park as driving on Gulf Blvd is illegal.

Pro tips:

  1. If not staying directly on the beach, drive your golf cart to one of several public beach access points from almost any rental house.

Driving Hours: No restrictions with our headlight-equipped golf carts – otherwise sunrise to sunset.

Laws Apply: Same rules as cars (headlights on at night, no drinking & driving, use signals, obey stop signs)

St. George Island

We deliver your golf cart directly to the address you specify during the online Reservation process. To any address within our designated driving areas! Delivery is guaranteed by 4 PM on the day of your scheduled check-in. Pickup is no later than 9 AM on the day of your scheduled check-out. You are not required to be present for delivery or pickup. If our delivery/pickup schedule does not work for your party, just give us a call and we can work to make other arrangements.

No, but beach access points do have golf cart parking.

No, you cannot drive the golf cart out of the designated driving area as indicated on the map. Driving a golf cart on the St. George Island Bridge is not permitted by law.

Unless you are staying on the corner of Gulf Blvd and another street you will not be able to use the golf cart to access your vacation stay directly, you would be forced to park somewhere else and walk.

We will deliver Golf Carts to the State Park as they are allowed to roam the Park, however, there is no legal way to drive the Golf Cart to the Park since the only route to the Park prohibits Golf Carts.
